What is SAML?
SAML is a standard for Single Sign-On. Below you can read how it works and how it connects a portal to your login.
SAML is a standard for Single Sign-On with which a user logs in to several applications via a central identity provider. The portal relies on that provider for the login, so that users do not need a separate account.
Logging in via a trusted party
SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language) is a standard with which an application leaves the login to a central identity provider. If a user logs in there, the provider sends a signed statement (assertion) to the portal: this person is who they say they are, and may enter.
As a result, the user does not need a separate account per application. This is the basis of Single Sign-On in business environments, alongside the more modern OpenID Connect.
SAML in a portal
We connect a customer or employee portal via SAML to an existing identity provider, such as Microsoft Entra ID. Users then log in with their trusted account, and you manage access centrally.
How we help you with this.
From concept to a working solution. This is what connects to it.
