What is OpenID Connect?
OpenID Connect is a modern standard for secure logging in, built on OAuth. Below you can read how it works.
OpenID Connect (OIDC) is a modern standard for logging in, built on top of OAuth 2.0. It lets users log in securely to a portal with an existing account, for example from Microsoft or Google. It is the present-day successor to SAML for Single Sign-On.
Logging in with an existing account
OpenID Connect (OIDC) is a standard with which users log in to an application via an existing identity provider, such as Microsoft or Google. It is built on top of OAuth 2.0: where OAuth arranges access, OIDC adds the identity, so the application knows who is logging in.
For the user this means one trusted account for several systems. It is the present-day successor to SAML for Single Sign-On and is widely used in modern web applications.
OIDC in a portal
We connect a customer or employee portal via OpenID Connect to your identity provider. Users then log in with their existing account, and you manage access centrally, without separate passwords per portal.
How we help you with this.
From concept to a working solution. This is what connects to it.
