What is real-time synchronisation?
Real-time synchronisation keeps data in several systems continuously aligned. Below you can read how it works and why it prevents oversells and errors.
Real-time synchronisation keeps data in two or more systems continuously aligned, within seconds instead of with a daily batch. A stock change or order is therefore immediately visible everywhere. Webhooks and events make real time possible where systems support it.
Immediate instead of daily
With real-time synchronisation, a change in one system is carried through to the other within seconds, instead of with a daily batch. If your webshop sells an item, the stock drops everywhere immediately. If stock comes into the warehouse, it is on the site right away.
That prevents the classic problem of selling something that is already out of stock (oversell), or customers seeing outdated information. Webhooks and events make real time possible; where a system does not support that, we poll at short intervals.
What is achievable?
How real time a flow is exactly depends on what the systems involved support. In practice it varies from a few seconds to a couple of minutes. Per connection we record what you can expect, so there are no surprises.

In a free one-hour process scan, we look at your systems and the manual work between them. After that, a fixed-fee quote. No surprises afterwards.
